Stellar Dynamics is looking for a Functional Analyst to support a government contract involving defense systems modernization. This is a 12-month contract with a Department of Defense client. You will analyze business requirements, design functional solutions, and support system development and testing. The role involves working with military personnel, government contractors, and technical teams to define system capabilities. You will document use cases, create system specifications, and support integration testing. The work requires understanding of defense systems, security protocols, and government acquisition processes. You will also support user acceptance testing, create training materials, and assist with system deployment. This contract requires the ability to obtain a security clearance. The work is challenging, mission-critical, and offers the opportunity to contribute to national defense. Strong technical writing and communication skills are essential.

Requirements

4+ years of functional analysis experience in government, defense, or aerospace. Experience with defense systems or military operations. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related field. Ability to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship required). Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS, Jira, or similar). Strong technical writing and documentation skills. Experience with system integration and testing. Knowledge of systems engineering principles. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
